Rewind to Senior year of college, I took Eileen Eitrheim’s Public Relations techniques class, and learned how to create a brand for myself. Marketing oneself as a product can be awkward at times, but thanks to Eileen’s tips/lessons and everyone's support, I feel less uncomfortable every day.
One of the first things I did to “brand myself”, was to come up with a logo. Jackie Nowosielski helped me find the right logo by messing around with fonts and eventually creating one that felt the most "me." This one is close to my cursive handwriting, and my songs are oftentimes very personal yet smooth (like cursive) so the bottom right was decided as “the one” last year around this time.
This cartoon girl is a simple drawing I created on Microsoft Paint, because I try not to take things too seriously. Life is a lot about having fun, I think. Sometimes it's easier said than done. Let this girl be a reminder to smile and do what you love. I’m happy to have a chalk-version of this logo on one of the sleeves of “Go Ahead."
